Ashbea & Ethan

Together

We always dreamed of having a hobby that we could do, enjoy, and grow in together. That was how we found we both have a love for woodworking, building, designing, creating, and always some sort of problem solving!

It wasn’t until 2020 that we started doing this together. After our son was diagnosed with autism in 2018, we both needed an outlet, and something to do together that was productive, fulfilling, and bonding. It started with creating wood mosaic wall art (with a borrowed table saw and a circular saw!), and formed into making wood mosaic furniture. We both like the idea of making it functional, and have built some beautiful pieces for clients that we know will be cherished for years to come. We’ve recently started making wooden toys, and sometimes get our kids out there to help us (with proper PPE of course). It has truly become a family business, plus it’s so cool to see them playing with the things we made with our own hands.

Ashbea

As for me, I am the extrovert in our relationship. Things that I love are traveling, being outdoors, coffee shops, good food, and hanging out with my family and friends.

Ethan

Meanwhile, I’m the introvert. I love figuring out how things work, how to make them “do the things” to “make the things”, and I really really really love my wife’s cooking (yum). I usually handle the “prep” work, some of the structural construction. Whenever Ashbea has this really sweet-awesome idea (which I suck at doing), I usually grab the sketch pad and start working out how we’re going to do it.
